Description
The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the site, ensuring that production, warehousing, and supply chain activities run efficiently and safely. You will play a key role in developing people, strengthening processes, and supporting the organisation through its next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading day-to-day operations across production, planning, and logistics to meet business targets.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimise output, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Ensuring all activities fully comply with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.
- Managing and coaching a diverse operational team, building strong capability at all levels.
- Collaborating closely with senior leadership on strategic projects, including capacity expansion and process upgrades.
- Monitoring KPIs, analysing performance trends, and driving corrective actions where needed.
- Building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
Profile
- Significant experience in a leadership role within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similarly fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, planning, and supply chain dynamics.
- A proven track record of delivering operational improvements and embedding CI methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic growth environment.
- Intermediate excel knowledge - Understandings of V-lookups, IF statements etc.
