Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client recruiting for an Extrusion Setter for a well-established company in West Bromwich who provide cable solutions widely used in education, commercial, housing, industrial, and healthcare sectors across the UK.

To be considered for this role as an Extrusion Setter you will be:

  • An experienced Setter
  • Crosshead experience an advantage
  • A PVC background in extrusion setting and operating essential
  • Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Be motivated to beat targets and work safely
  • Comply and Promote Company Values.

Key Responsibilities of this role as an Extrusion Setter you will be:

  • Set and Operate Extrusion Machines
  • Clean and maintain tools
  • Be responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing parts and materials
  • Maintain 5S to a high standard
  • Keep production and quality related records up to date
  • Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed

Requirements of an Extrusion Setter you will:

  • Be able to comply with and promote company values
  • Knowledgeable in setting and running extrusion corrugation machines
  • Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
