We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Truck Driver to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely within this production facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and materials management.
Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks within the warehouse environment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and report any mechanical issues for repair.
- Perform basic equipment repairs as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and in the warehouse.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a forklift truck role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Own transport due to location of business.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including materials handling techniques.
- Experience operating forklifts is highly desirable.
