We are recruiting for an experienced, nurse-qualified Home Manager / General Manager to lead a large luxury nursing and dementia care home in South-West London. The home is well regarded locally and nationally, recognised by regulators for delivering high-quality care and praised by families for its warm, person-centred approach. With a stable wider staffing structure, strong recruitment attraction, and an established Deputy Manager and Heads of Department already in place, the service now requires a resilient and commercially astute leader who can take control and drive the home forward.

The Role

  • Leading and inspiring a large team to deliver consistently high standards of person-centred care
  • Providing strong clinical and operational leadership within a large luxury care environment
  • Maintaining excellent compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
  • Driving occupancy, performance, and effective budget management
  • Supporting and developing an established management team, including Deputy Manager and Heads of Department
  • Creating a culture of accountability, resilience, empowerment, and continuous improvement
  • Developing strong community links and promoting the home externally

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Current nurse qualification (RGN/RMN essential)
  • Proven experience as a Home Manager / General Manager within large luxury nursing homes
  • Strong operational ability and commercial acumen
  • Experience managing large teams and complex care environments
  • A resilient leadership style with the ability to take ownership and drive improvement
  • Proven track record of achieving positive regulatory outcomes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach to delivering high-quality care

Please note: Non-nurse General Managers will not be considered for this position.
