Major Infrastructure / Clean Water / Civils

Carrington West are recruiting for a Project Manager to lead delivery of a flagship £30m+ clean water infrastructure project for a leading Tier 1 contractor operating within the Severn Trent framework. This major pipeline scheme will see the installation of 16km of 1200mm diameter pipeline across the West Midlands.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project over a 2-year construction programme, managing safety, programme, commercial performance and stakeholder engagement across the scheme. You’ll lead a core delivery team consisting of Agents, Engineers, Foremen and direct works teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the safe and successful delivery of a £30m+ pipeline infrastructure project
  • Oversee programme, commercial and operational performance across the full lifecycle
  • Manage multidisciplinary site teams including Agents, Engineers and Supervisors
  • Maintain strong relationships with client representatives, stakeholders and supply chain partners
  • Ensure compliance with Principal Contractor duties and all HSEQ requirements
  • Coordinate complex temporary works and deep excavation activities
  • Drive quality, reporting and digital compliance across client/contractor platforms
  • Manage interfaces across major crossings, environmental constraints and live infrastructure

  • Experience using contractor/client digital management platforms
  • Severn Trent framework experience advantageous

Minimum Qualifications

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Black / Manager's Card
  • Temporary Works Coordinator
  • 3-Day First Aid

Desirable Qualifications

  • NRSWA Supervisor
  • EUSR Water Hygiene
  • Lifting AP (Appointed Person)
