Responsibilities- Mentor-style tutoring supporting a 13‑year‑old student with a passion for aerospace engineering, steam engines, and physics.
- Build genuine rapport through shared interests and deliver academic stretch in Maths, Science (Physics), and English.
- Adapt teaching to meet the student's ASD, ADHD, and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile.
- Strong background in Physics and Maths, ideally with an interest in engineering or aerospace.
- Experience supporting students with ASD/ADHD; understanding of flexibility required for a PDA profile.
- Strong rapport‑building skills and ability to lead with interests rather than demands.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required.
- 10 hours per week to start.
- Schedule open to discussion; suitable for tutors with flexible availability.
- Competitive hourly rate of 25-30 per hour for a specialist tutor.
