Accountant / Client Manager Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare accounts for small limited companies, LLPs, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Work across a broad range of clients, managing everything from basic bookkeeping to complex year‑end accounts.
  • Complete planning and completion sections, including budgets and disclosure checklists, in line with practice guidelines.
  • Maintain bookkeeping records (cash books, sales/purchase ledgers) and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Produce accounts from incomplete records or client trial balances using major accounting programs like Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
  • Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries, providing a high level of personal service.
  • Prepare tax returns including personal, VAT, and corporation tax.
  • Review junior work and assist with professional development and advisory tasks.
Accountant / Client Manager Requirements
  • Experience working within an Accountancy Practice is essential.
  • ACA or ACCA qualified preferred, but those "Qualified by Experience" (8+ years) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounting and mixed tax elements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to support the wider team.
  • Able to comfortably commute to the office in West Bridgford.
