The Company: An exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser/ Sales Analyst to join a fast-moving merchandising team for a leading fashion company. We are looking for someone with experience in trend and forecast analysis within a retail or wholesale environment. Ability to interpret information & make decisions to maximise service levels and stock efficiency. Graduates welcome.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting required service levels for a given range
  • Responsible for forecasting and sales analysis for a given range
  • Analyse weekly/monthly/yearly sales to identify trends
  • Manage stock to maximise availability, whilst reducing discontinued exposure
  • Raise any supply/service issues in good time to management
  • Collate and manage potential discontinued products
  • Support range planning in conjunction with category teams
  • Plan initial buys for new lines
  • Create/maintain weekly excel based stock sheets
  • Raise factory purchase orders
  • Work with factories to ensure products ship within agreed timelines
  • Approve bookings for shipments
  • Liaise with internal teams: Category Teams, Shipping, Operations, Finance
  • Work closely with the Customer and attend Customer meetings as required
  • Assist in development and growth of business

Skills Required:

  • Proven merchandising experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of forecasting methods
  • Understanding of supply chain practices
  • Experience working with Far East factories
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage changing priorities
  • Work under own initiative
  • Ability to communicate to different levels in the organisation
