Long Term Futures are working with a supportive primary school in Nottingham City Centre (Hockley) to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a meaningful difference in a nurturing school environment.
The role will involve working closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Implement individual learning and behaviour strategies
- Support pupils' emotional regulation and social development
- Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Help create a safe, inclusive and structured classroom
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND
- Background in a primary school or similar setting
- Patient, proactive and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Long-term, full-time opportunity with consistency
