Our client in the aerospace sector is currently seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join their team on a contract basis at RAF Marham. This role involves working full-time onsite within the Military, Air & Information (MAI) discipline on the F35 programme. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic maintenance team and work in a fast-paced, rigorous environment focused on fast jet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with the Approved Technical Information and relevant risk assessments.
  • Document all activities appropriately and maintain all airworthiness records.
  • Compile reports, identify issues, and elevate as necessary.
  • Comply with the organisation's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), its associated procedures and standards, and any other company procedures.
  • Understand and apply human factors and error management within maintenance practices.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with the Continuing Airworthiness Assurance Management system.
  • Perform a range of maintenance tasks including aircraft role changes, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements, and functional/system tests.
  • Complete maintenance instructions and schedules for planned and unplanned tasks, including diagnostic procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in applying EASA/MRP Part 145 regulations in maintenance environments.
  • A demonstrable log book showcasing breadth of experience, currency, and recency of skills in working on aircraft or in workshops.
  • Experience in working on complex military aircraft programmes.
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent military qualifications.
  • Academic qualifications such as City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent.
