We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 2 ADR driver to join one of our well established clients in the Burntwood area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of hazardous goods, ensuring that all products reach their destinations in a timely manner. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries.

Duties

  • Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods during transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driving licence (C or equivalent) with no more than 6 points.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
