Academics Ltd is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Gravesend to recruit an experienced and motivated Catering Manager for a permanent full-time, term-time only position starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and organised Catering Manager to take responsibility for a busy school catering service, leading a team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the kitchen.

As Catering Manager, you will oversee the full catering provision, ensuring food quality, compliance, staffing, and budget control are all delivered to a high standard. You will play a key role in shaping menus, maintaining standards, and ensuring an efficient and positive dining experience for students and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a Catering Manager or senior school/contract catering role
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen compliance
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Good organisational ability with experience managing budgets and stock
  • Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene (or equivalent) desirable
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working in a busy school environment
