Location: Northampton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Term Time Only)

Contract: Full-Time Long term

Salary: £14-£16 per hour (depending on experience)

Start: ASAP

The role will be a Teaching Assistant with integrated pastoral mentoring responsibilities, providing both academic support and holistic student guidance. The role involves assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons, supporting students with diverse learning needs, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment. In addition, the postholder will take on pastoral responsibilities, offering emotional support, monitoring student wellbeing, and fostering positive relationships to support personal development.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Ability to engage learners and support their ambitions

  • GCSEs in Maths and English C or 4 grade and above (or an equivalent)
  • Have an understanding of alternative provision and dealing with students with special needs
  • Working within an education setting or equivalent
  • Professional communication with students and staff
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing, and British values

The school supports approximately 35 pupils on roll to ensure that we can provide ample opportunities for children who need a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment, specifically for those who will reintegrate back into a mainstream setting.
