We are looking for a reliable and experienced multi-skilled tradesperson to join our team. You will be handling day-to-day repairs, maintenance, and small jobs across local social housing void properties. If you are strong in one main trade but can turn your hand to a bit of everything, we want to hear from you.
What you will be doing:
- Carpentry: Boxing in pipework, fitting bath panels, putting in kitchen units or worktops, easing sticking doors, and handling general joinery repairs.
- Plumbing: Finding and fixing leaks, unblocking pipes, sorting out minor heating issues, and repairing or replacing bathroom and kitchen taps and toilets.
- General Maintenance: Keeping up with everyday property repairs to a good standard.
- Tiling: Putting up splashbacks and sorting out small wall or floor tile repairs.
- Plastering: Patch plastering and small-area skimming to keep walls tidy.
- Painting and Decorating: Touch-ups, painting walls, ceilings, and woodwork, or doing full room refreshes.
- Flooring: Laying vinyl, laminate, and carpet tiles, including basic floor prep.
Other parts of the job:
- Making sure all work is done safely, properly, and left clean and tidy.
- Logging your completed jobs and updates on a phone or tablet.
- Being polite, friendly, and respectful when dealing with tenants and teammates.
What you need:
- A valid CSCS Card.
- Solid, hands-on experience in property maintenance.
- Experience working in council or housing association homes is a big bonus, but not essential.
