Operate production safely and efficiently in a process manufacturing environment. Wolviston Management Services is proud to be working in partnership with Tioxide to recruit Shift Process Technicians for their Greatham site. This is a shift-based production role where you will help ensure the safe and efficient running of the production unit, supporting business targets while following EHS and Process Safety Management requirements. You will work as part of the shift production technician team, operating the plant, interpreting process data, responding to issues, preparing equipment for maintenance and helping continuously improve the asset and working environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Achieve and maintain competence through training, validation and re-validation.
  • Apply a Zero Harm mindset and process safety principles to all process activities.
  • Follow operating instructions and procedures to operate plant safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to emergency situations in line with site procedures to help put the plant into a safe state.
  • Interpret process data and take appropriate action to keep the process within normal operating parameters.
  • Maximise efficiency while achieving required product quality.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, reporting defects promptly.
  • Carry out scheduled or breakdown maintenance where this is within the team’s capability.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance and complete EIP paperwork to support Work Control Permits.
  • Participate in emergency exercises and EHS training.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the asset and working environment.
  • Promote a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, teamwork and performance.

Candidate requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Process Operations, or equivalent process industry knowledge.
  • Experience working in chemical, process, manufacturing, utilities or another industrial environment.
  • Experience working on an upper-tier COMAH plant would be beneficial.
  • A good understanding of operating procedures, safety standards and process discipline.
  • The ability to interpret data and respond effectively to changing plant conditions.
  • A practical approach to plant operation, equipment monitoring and defect reporting.
  • A willingness to undertake training, validation and re-validation.
  • Strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to safe working, inclusion, process safety and continuous improvement.
