Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced Shuttering Joiner to join our busy construction teams in Cramlington, Northumberland. We are partnering with leading civil engineering firms and concrete frame specialists who require precision and pace on essential infrastructure and structural projects. If you are a joiner who thrives in a productivity-driven environment and has mastered the complexities of formwork systems, we have immediate starts and long-term runs of work available now.

The Role

  • Formwork Focus: Setting up and striking various formwork systems, including traditional timber shutters, Peri, and Doka.
  • Structural Precision: Working from drawings to create formwork for retaining walls, columns, slabs, and foundations.
  • Reinforcement Support: Coordinating with steel fixers to ensure all shutters are secure and ready for concrete pours.
  • Installation Accuracy: Ensuring all formwork is level, plumb, and built to the required tolerances to meet strict structural specifications.
  • Productivity Driven: We need joiners used to the rigors of site-start infrastructure who can keep the program moving without compromising safety or quality.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Formwork/Joinery is highly desirable.
  • CSCS Card: A valid Blue or Gold card is mandatory.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in shuttering joinery on major civil or commercial projects.
  • Tools & PPE: Full professional kit (including hammers, saws, and squares) and standard 5-point PPE.
  • Reliability: Must be able to work as part of a gang to hit strict concrete pour deadlines.
  • Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
