Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools across Newcastle on a full‑time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long‑term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role:
- Support pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Types of SEN include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and PMLD.
- Deliver intervention sessions to small groups of pupils to boost their understanding and progress.
- Develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of pupils, working closely with Class Teachers and colleagues.
- Provide support across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.

Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Pay: £88-£110 per day.
- Hours: 08:30-16:00.
- Contract: Full‑time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary contract.
- Start Date: June (after May half term).
- Location: Newcastle.
Experience / Qualifications and Requirements:
- Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare‑based qualification (desired).
- Experience working with children in schools in the UK.
- A ability to build positive relationships and rapport with pupils and staff.
- A resilient, proactive and positive nature.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
