We're recruiting an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanical activities on a range of projects including schools, healthcare, retail and manufacturing facilities. This is a mobile role, overseeing day-to-day mechanical operations while remaining hands-on where required. You'll supervise a small on-site team, ensuring all HVAC are maintained safely, compliantly, and in line with contractual requirements. This opportunity would suit an individual looking to step into a supervisory position, or an existing Supervisor seeking long-term site stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of mechanical engineers on-site
  • Travelling throughout the Yorkshire and North West areas
  • Plan and allocate works, ensuring SLA and compliance targets are achieved
  • Remain hands-on with fault-finding and maintenance when required
  • Oversee subcontractors, permits to work, RAMS, and site inductions
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and gas regulations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Liaise with on-site management and key stakeholders
  • Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience & Skills

  • Strong background in mechanical installation including HVAC
  • Experience in a Lead Engineer, Supervisor, or Senior Mechanical Engineer role
  • Background working on HVAC schemes
  • Confident supervising engineers and managing contractors
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems and compliance reporting

Qualifications

  • F-Gas 2079 qualification desirable
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical / Heating & Ventilation (or equivalent) preferred
  • SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
