About the Role
As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming raw materials against documentation.
- Labeling, storing, and organizing materials according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Issuing raw materials to production based on work orders and batch records.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting cycle counts.
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and safety standards.
- Operating material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) if certified.
- Keeping raw material storage areas clean and organized.
- Identifying and reporting damaged or expired materials.
- Supporting audits and inspections as needed.
- Following FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.
What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP or regulated environments is a plus.
- Forklift or pallet jack certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions.
- A team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Physical capability to lift and move materials (typically up to 40-50 lbs).
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
