Interaction Recruitment (Trading as Verve People) is looking for a Sous Chef to join this Newcastle City Centre hotel. The Ideal Chef must display the following qualities:

  • Passion for food and leading by example to junior staff in all elements of food preparation.
  • Ensuring all dishes are always at their best and meet brand expectations.
  • Displaying the right temperament to successfully run service in the absence of the Head Chef, promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of all government Health and Food Safety legislation including HACCP and ensuring all necessary checks throughout the kitchen (both quality and safety checks).
  • Securing food items safely, keeping stocks replenished to minimise waste, and ensuring all kitchen equipment and environment are hygienic and working properly.

In return we are offering a salary of £30,000 per annum for a 40‑hour week, working any 5 days out of 7.
