Temp to Perm opportunity with an esteemed North East business. You will be working for a Benton based production company that specialises in providing services to major household brands and companies nationally. The company is growing and actively recruiting, offering scope for guaranteed shifts, permanent contracts, and new hires over the coming months. You will be trained on a day shift and then allocated a three-shift rotation: days, twilight, and nights.

£14 per hour, 1 × 30-minute paid break per shift. 37 hours per week. Excellent work-life balance with days off work. Hours 3pm-11pm. Must hold a valid UK driving licence.

THE BUSINESS

Working at the Benton-based site, you will be part of a great team delivering high service levels in a fast-paced environment.

THE ROLE

The position is a Fork Lift Truck driver. You will operate a counter-balance forklift, carrying out tasks around the site. Some of your duties will include:

  • Moving goods around the factory and organising them as necessary.
  • Carrying out yard duties such as unloading or loading trucks.
  • Completion of relevant paperwork in accordance with the business SOPs.
  • Following company processes and procedures at all times, keeping in line with current health & safety policies.
  • Carrying out manual handling of heavy goods.
  • Maintaining high levels of housekeeping where necessary.
  • Working as part of a team focused on achieving the business goals.

THE PERSON

You will have a positive can-do attitude, be punctual, reliable, show a strong work ethic, and mature in your approach. This role offers a fantastic work-life balance. Other duties and requirements include:

  • Valid counter-balance FLT licence.
  • Experience operating a forklift within a warehouse environment.
  • Flexibility to undertake additional duties such as heavy manual handling, factory duties, and other tasks specific to the business.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and develop new skills.
  • Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
