We are currently recruiting for experienced Social Workers with a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience who have working knowledge of Public and Private Law for Cafcass, Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is a mix of hybrid and office but court and visits will be all face to face.
We have Cafcass vacancies for:
- Newcastle Office, Public Law Roles (Court based and need to be local)
- Newcastle Office, Private Law Role (section 7s)
Responsibilities
- Providing services to children, families and courts
- Assessing and analysing court applications for any child protection and serious welfare issues affecting a child or young person
- Undertaking Quality Assurance, case file reviews, review transfers in and out and case management
- Completing assessments, including section 7's
- Providing information to the courts on matters involving children both public and private law
- Working with legal representatives and social work staff from other agencies, providing adoption advice and guidance, and overseeing practice
Qualifications
- Post-qualifying experience of at least 3 years as a Social Worker.
- Working knowledge of Public and Private Law for Cafcass.
