A market-leading FMCG business requires a Production Planning Team Leader to lead site planning, scheduling, and team delivery activities. Applicants need strong planning experience gained within a production, manufacturing, food, or FMCG environment, with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver against demanding schedules.
The Production Planning Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating and delivering production activities across the site. The role would suit a hands-on and organised planning professional, who can combine planning, labour management, and leadership to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Generate, manage, and deliver daily and weekly production plans
- Lead labour planning and forecasting to optimise efficiency and resource allocation
- Track production plan progress and adjust plans to ensure 'on time, in full' delivery
- Lead, coach, and develop production teams including training, absence, and performance management
- Drive continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance output
- Coordination with internal teams
Qualifications:
- Production planning, scheduling, or operations experience
- Strong understanding of labour planning, production control, and cost awareness
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / 5S experience beneficial)
