A market-leading FMCG production business requires a Fulfilment Operations Manager to lead site fulfilment, dispatch, and order delivery activities. Applicants need strong operational and planning experience gained within a production, manufacturing, Food, FMCG or logistics environment, with a proven ability to manage teams and deliver against customer demand.
The Fulfilment Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating fulfilment activities to ensure orders are picked, processed, and dispatched accurately, on time, and in full. The role would suit a driven and organised logistics, supply chain or operations professional, who can combine planning, process control, and leadership to deliver high service levels in a fast-paced environment.
Specific duties of the Fulfilment Operations Manager include:
- Generate, manage, and deliver daily and weekly fulfilment and dispatch plans in line with customer orders and KPIs
- Lead labour planning and forecasting across fulfilment and dispatch teams
- Track order progress and adjust plans to ensure OTIF
- Lead, coach, and develop fulfilment teams including training, absence, and performance management
- Drive continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reduce waste
- Coordinate with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure aligned order fulfilment
- Oversee dispatch operations, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and loading of orders
- Support implementation of new tools, systems, and fulfilment processes
Fulfilment Operations Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Operations, fulfilment, logistics, supply chain, or production planning experience within a production, manufacturing, or distribution environment
- Strong understanding of labour planning, order fulfilment, and cost control
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / 5S experience beneficial)
