About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Dock Controller / Dock Office Administrator to join a busy and fast‑paced logistics operation based in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and attention to detail who enjoys working within transport, warehouse, and distribution environments. You will play a key role in coordinating deliveries, managing records and supporting both transport and warehouse teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods in and out of the site. This role offers excellent long‑term career prospects within a well‑established transport and logistics business with a supportive and relaxed working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Act as a key point of contact for drivers and warehouse teams
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic and manual records
- Monitor loading bays and stock movement activity
- Respond to customer and driver queries professionally
- Investigate and report discrepancies where required
- Conduct regular stock checks and escalate issues appropriately
- Support transport and warehouse colleagues with daily operations
- Ensure all paperwork and system updates are completed accurately
- Work to deadlines within a fast‑paced operational environment
Candidate Requirements
- Previous administration, warehouse, transport, or logistics experience preferred
- Level 2 Business Administration qualification or equivalent preferred
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to analyse information and work accurately under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Good problem‑solving skills and ability to use initiative
- Strong numerical and written communication skills
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures desirable
