Are you a time served Mechanical Fitter looking for a new permanent position? Is working days only in Nelson, Lancashire something you'd be happy to do? Suitable candidates will be called and given additional information on the company and position. I am recruiting for two workshop based Mechanical Fitters to manufacture and assemble pieces of equipment.
Main Responsibilities:- To undertake projects to ensure that they comply with relevant customer specifications.
- Modify & rebuild existing machines.
- To manufacture new machines.
- Ability to read and work from design drawings.
- To work and keep a selection of spare parts for the above machines.
- To communicate and report progress to their manager on jobs.
- To report snagging details which may need identifying and correcting.
- To work to a high standard through the manufacturing and rebuilding of the machines.
- Work on own initiative, clean and tidy area.
- To work within and follow Health and Safety guidelines.
LOCATION: Nelson
SHIFT: Days (39 hours per week)
SALARY: £16.35 per hour
Overtime: 1.5 times hourly rate
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30 & Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
Pension: Matched contributions up to 7%
Death in Service: 2 x annual salary
Holidays: 25 + 8 statutory
