We are recruiting for an experienced all-rounder Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician to join a leading, state-of-the-art accident repair centre. This role is ideal for a confident all-rounder who can demonstrate strong capability across Panel Beating, Paint Spraying, and MET/Strip Fitting, working to manufacturer standards using modern equipment and techniques.
The Role
As a Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicles from strip-down through to refinish, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will work in a fast-paced Bodyshop environment, contributing to customer satisfaction by delivering right-first-time repairs in line with manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out panel repairs, including realignment and replacement, to manufacturer standards
- Strip and refit (MET) vehicle components safely and accurately
- Prepare and spray vehicles, including mixing and applying water-based paints
- Carry out quality checks to ensure all repairs and finishes are free from defects
- Work efficiently to meet throughput targets while maintaining high-quality standards
- Follow correct repair methods, and health & safety procedures, at all times
Skills & Qualifications Required
- Proven experience working as a Panel Beater, Paint Sprayer, and/or MET Technician within a busy Bodyshop
- Recognised apprenticeship and technical qualifications (NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair and refinishing techniques
- Experience working with water-based paint systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards productivity and bonus earning
