Are you a Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a varied role within a well-established manufacturing environment? I’m working with a long-standing and secure manufacturing business in Dundee who are looking to strengthen their engineering team.

The Role

  • You'll play a key role in supporting site operations, ensuring production runs efficiently through a combination of reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and continuous improvement activity.

Key responsibilities

  • Carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance across site machinery
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
  • Minimising downtime and ensuring equipment runs efficiently
  • Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Completing maintenance logs and documentation accurately
  • Working closely with production and other departments
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and GMP

You'll be part of an established engineering team, working both independently and collaboratively.

Salary

Paid at a basic hourly rate (range between £20 - £23 per hr). Anything over 40hrs paid at time 3/4, which would be for 3 months in season. Actual earnings of c £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.

Working Pattern

Seasonal Shift Pattern:

  • July - September (3 months Peak Season): 12-hour shifts, 7-7, 4 Days On / 1 Day Off / 4 Nights On / 3 Days Off. Anything over 40hrs paid at time 3/4.
  • October - June (9 months Off Season): Monday - Thursday: 07:30, Friday: 07:00, 40 hr working week.

What We’re Looking For

  • Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical bias advantageous)
  • Experience within manufacturing or FMCG environments
  • Strong fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience with: PLC-controlled equipment, Conveyors / chain-driven machinery
  • Completed engineering apprenticeship
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
