A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated, fast-paced food manufacturing site. With significant investment of over £1.2 million into the factory, this is an exciting time to join a growing and forward-thinking business that offers excellent career progression both technically and into management.
Working as part of an 8-engineer team, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving production performance across 4 production lines. This role is currently 70% reactive and 30% planned maintenance, with a strong focus on moving towards a more proactive maintenance strategy.
You will be responsible for both mechanical (80%) and electrical (20%) maintenance, working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
- Working on a wide range of production machinery including:
- Maintaining components such as drives, motors, sensors, relays, pneumatics, hydraulics, belts, bearings, and chains
- Hydraulic presses, mixers, conveyors, flow wrappers, heat sealers, chillers
- Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects
- Leading by example within the engineering team
