Duties of the MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician:
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations, ensuring all testing requirements are met
- Carry out mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, cambelts, exhausts, and tyre fitting
- Use alignment machines and accurately interpret readings to make necessary adjustments
- Perform vehicle inspections and complete detailed inspection sheets following company procedures
- Identify and communicate additional faults to customers and management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements needed from the MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician:
- Level 3 Mechanics qualification or a valid MOT Licence
- Proven experience working in a professional workshop environment
- Knowledge of tyre fitting, brakes, cambelts, clutches, and exhaust systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
