This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, equipment, and services to support operations and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activities across multiple projects and operational requirements
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in line with business and technical needs
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and framework agreements to achieve best value
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and performance targets are met
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and requirements
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply risks within engineering and industrial sectors
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement within the supply chain
  • Resolve supplier issues, including delays, non-conformance, and commercial disputes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health & safety requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Senior Buyer or similar procurement role within engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industry
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements
  • Experience managing complex supply chains and working with international suppliers
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical mindset

Desirable:

  • Experience within power, utilities, or industrial infrastructure sectors
  • Knowledge of fabrication, mechanical, or electrical components procurement
