Our client, an established consulting and engineering services group, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Environment Consultant to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage or lead the delivery of environmental workstreams.
  • Provide environmental input into design development independently and within project teams.
  • Project manage and author environmental assessments, coordinating with subject matter experts for specialist input.
  • Offer technical solutions to clients on infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Lead coordination and provide direction on environmental matters.
  • Support the business development, including preparation of fee proposals and bid documents.
  • Ensure environmental compliance per client standards, requirements, and policies.
  • Interface with clients for environmental coordination, resolving queries and issues.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in any environmental discipline.
  • Experience within environment design teams, ideally delivering infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write technical reports.
  • Preference for experience in major infrastructure, water or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of EU and UK environmental legislation and current best practices.
  • Proofing, editing, and report collation experience.
  • Decision-making abilities based on logical and reasoned judgment.
  • Problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving complex issues.
  • Experience with DCO's, consents, and permits is desirable.
