We are currently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Leeds area from April 2026. The role involves delivering engaging, pre-planned lessons, whilst building strong and positive relationships with students. You will provide educational methods to support individual learning needs and help pupils reach their full potential.

What the role involves:

  • Deliver engaging lessons
  • Building relationships with students
  • Providing a variety of educational approaches
  • Tailoring classes depending on learning needs
  • Working with children of mixed abilities including SEND

HLTA Responsibilities:

  • Good working knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Have experience of delivering quality learning experiences for pupils.
  • Follow school policies and procedures with regards to safeguarding and behaviour.
  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

HLTA Requirements:

  • Level 4 or above HLTA certificate.
  • UK experience as a HLTA.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the update service or be willing to complete a new DBS.
  • Confident understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
