A well-established food manufacturer in Leeds is looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join a tight-knit maintenance team on a stable, growing site. This isn't just fire fighting; the team is structured around planned maintenance, reliability improvement and continuous improvement, with real time built in to work on things properly.
You'll be working across automated food processing lines, fault-finding on motors, drives, sensors and PLC-controlled systems, with mechanical support across pneumatics and hydraulics. The site operates to strict food safety and hygiene standards, so experience working within a BRC or similar accredited environment is a real advantage.
What the kit looks like:
- Electrical: motors, drives, sensors, control panels, PLCs
- Mechanical: pneumatics, hydraulics, food processing and packaging lines
- Systems: PPM schedules, permit to work, safe isolation, food safety compliance

- Multi Skilled Engineer maintenance background in food manufacturing, FMCG or a similarly fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability: motors, drives, sensors, control panels
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Mechanical skills across pneumatics and hydraulics
- NVQ Level 3 or time-served apprenticeship in Engineering
