I'm recruiting for a skilled and reliable Fabric Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building fabric across our sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and presentable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on building fabric elements
  • Perform general repairs including carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, and patch plastering
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify defects or required remedial works
  • Respond to call-outs as part of a rota, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Fabric Technician or similar maintenance role
  • Multi-skilled background (e.g. carpentry, decorating, minor plumbing)
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license (if role involves travel between sites)
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices
