I'm recruiting for a skilled and reliable Fabric Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building fabric across our sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and presentable.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on building fabric elements
- Perform general repairs including carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, and patch plastering
- Conduct routine inspections and identify defects or required remedial works
- Respond to call-outs as part of a rota, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Fabric Technician or similar maintenance role
- Multi-skilled background (e.g. carpentry, decorating, minor plumbing)
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving license (if role involves travel between sites)
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices
