We are seeking experienced Fire & Security Engineers to join a busy field-based team carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and small works across a mixture of residential and commercial sites. The company works heavily within housing associations, HMOs, communal residential buildings, and commercial environments, offering long-term stability and a varied workload. A company van will be provided for employed engineers. Contractor options are also available.
Role
As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of a range of fire and security systems across multiple client sites throughout Hampshire and Dorset. This is a mobile role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, fault finding, and delivering excellent customer service on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Fault finding across fire & security systems
- Maintenance of CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
- Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
- Completing compliance paperwork and service reports
- Attending reactive callouts when required
- Working across residential, HMO, housing association, and commercial sites
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
What They Are Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience as a Fire & Security Engineer
- Experience servicing and maintaining multiple systems
- Good fault-finding ability
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong customer-facing skills
Desirable
- Experience within housing associations or HMOs
- FIA, ECS, or relevant industry certifications
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and emergency lighting systems
