An established HVAC contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Service Engineer to support its growing London operation. The role covers Central London and surrounding areas, working across a technically varied portfolio including railway infrastructure, stations, depots, data centres and critical environments. The position is focused on planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and reactive repair across split systems, VRV/VRF, chillers, AHUs, ventilation and chilled water systems, with additional exposure to LTHW and mechanical plant. Full railway training and competencies will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking long-term stability within a specialist service environment.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 / Part 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
  • Valid F-Gas certification (essential)
  • Proven HVAC service and maintenance experience across commercial systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
  • Experience working on VRV/VRF, splits, AHUs, chillers or ventilation systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to work across London and rail-related environments
  • PASMA and IPAF advantageous
  • Comfortable participating in on-call and occasional overtime requirements
  • Rail medical, drug & alcohol screening and DVLA licence check required prior to employment

Package:

  • Salary circa 45,000 depending on experience
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x for nights/bank holidays
  • Door-to-door travel paid with a 9.5-hour minimum day
  • On-call rota approximately 1 in 8 weeks (125 standby payment plus minimum 4-hour call-out)
  • 22 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday day off
  • Company van and fuel card provided
  • Smartphone, electronic job management system and specialist refrigeration tools supplied
  • Central London and surrounding area coverage
  • Full rail training and competencies provided
