The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

We are currently partnering with a client to appoint an Interim Project Accountant on an initial interim basis, with the role expected to transition to permanent subject to performance and business need. This is a high-impact role requiring a CCAB-qualified accountant, ideally available immediately, with strong experience in project, research or contract accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post-award accounting for research, consultancy and large-scale projects
  • Production of invoices and funding claims
  • Preparing for and managing contract and funder audits
  • Reviewing contract performance and identifying variances, risks and issues
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting across project portfolios
  • Oversight of a small team, ensuring an efficient, approachable and principle-aligned approach aligned to Enable, Deliver and Assure principles

Candidate Requirements

  • CCAB qualification – essential
  • Proven experience in project / research / grant / contract accounting
  • Strong stakeholder management and governance focus
  • Confident people manager
  • Immediate or short-notice availability highly desirable
