You will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of all tooling components manufactured on-site. You'll support multiple departments, work closely with engineers and senior leaders, and help keep production running smoothly by delivering high-quality machining and rapid problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting, and running wire erosion and spark erosion machines, ensuring production deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Prioritising workloads based on production needs and collaborating closely with senior management on prototype fixtures and conversion components.
- Supporting the tool repair team, ensuring production-critical tooling is turned around quickly and efficiently.
- Reworking incorrectly manufactured parts to meet required specifications.
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years’ experience programming and operating wire erosion and spark erosion machines (experience with Agie or Sodick machinery is advantageous but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working from both metric and imperial drawings.
- Solid all-round engineering knowledge and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- A disciplined, self-motivated approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
