Select Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Metal Polisher to join a busy fabrication team within a high-quality manufacturing environment.

Job Overview

As a Metal Polisher, you will be responsible for polishing metal components using static and flexi polishing machines. The role includes pre-polishing parts, removing imperfections, grinding welds, and finishing components to a high standard suitable for the marine industry.

Key Duties

  • Polishing metal components using static and flexi polishing machines
  • Pre-polishing metal parts to remove imperfections
  • Grinding and smoothing welds after fabrication
  • Finishing welded joints to a high-quality standard
  • Working with small batch production components
  • Inspecting work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times
  • Working independently and as part of a team

The Person

  • Previous experience in metal polishing or similar finishing role
  • Experience within a small batch production environment
  • Ability to handle and lift large or heavy items
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to work independently and think on your feet
  • Positive attitude towards health and safety
  • Willingness to work overtime when required, including weekends
