We are currently looking for a number of Manufacturing Operatives to join one of our clients on a long term basis. The company is a world leader in the manufacture, modification and servicing of specialist products for the rail industry. Based in their purpose-built, modern premises in Melksham, Wiltshire and using state of the art manufacturing/assembly techniques, the role will involve working on the assembly of braking systems and air conditioning systems for trains.

The main duties will include the following:

  • Working from assembly instruction, assembling components
  • Testing and fault finding on existing and new equipment
  • Replacement of faulty components
  • Repair of faulty equipment
  • Re-build of equipment
  • General mechanical and basic electrical fitting work

Qualifications: No previous experience of working on this type of equipment is required, however the successful candidates will have previous experience of assembly/production type work and will ideally be used to following basic assembly instructions and or assembly drawings.

Working on a day shift basis with plenty of opportunity for paid overtime if wanted, this is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding world leader in their field, with good opportunities for progression within the organisation.
