About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical services on a large scale new build residential project. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in MEP construction, residential developments, and project delivery from pre-construction through to handover. You will be responsible for managing all mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical installations on residential developments
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams
  • Oversee programme delivery and monitor project progress against milestones
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
  • Attend and lead project meetings with clients and stakeholders
  • Manage procurement of mechanical materials and equipment
  • Monitor quality control and commissioning activities
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve technical issues
  • Support commercial teams with valuations, variations, and cost control
  • Ensure successful testing, commissioning, and project handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the construction industry
  • Strong background delivering new build residential projects
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, public health, and mechanical building services
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-paced programmes
  • Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Relevant mechanical or building services qualification preferred
  • SMSTS / CSCS certification desirable
