We are looking for a motivated mechanical maintenance engineer to join a market leading manufacturing company in their respective field. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development, this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. Role Description

  • Planned & Reactive Maintenance
  • Reduce reactive work (breakdowns, repairs)
  • Increase proactive work (continuous improvement) to achieve business targets
  • This includes ensuring the safe operation of machinery, improving site facilities across a broad scope (buildings, offices, production lines, warehouse)
  • Mixers, Rollers, Extruders
  • CNC Machinery
  • Packaging Machinery
  • Cooling & Cutting Machinery
  • Belts, Chains, Bearings, Gearboxes
  • PLC Fault Finding

Skills and Qualifications

  • Time served (apprenticeship) electrical / mechanical maintenance engineer
  • 3-5 years' practical experience
  • Process oriented environment
  • Pro-active, continuous improvement attitude
  • Lean maintenance practices
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility (working hours, shift, where to work in the plant, call-outs, key holder etc.)
  • Stakeholder management
  • IT literate (office package, CMMS systems etc.)
