Are you an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Technician looking to work on one of the UK's most high-profile and technically complex projects? We're supporting the delivery of the MENSA project at AWE and are looking for skilled Commissioning Technicians to join the team on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a major nuclear infrastructure programme where safety, quality and technical excellence are at the heart of everything.
The Role
- Reporting directly to the Commissioning Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting commissioning activities across installation, testing, commissioning and handover phases of the project lifecycle.
- Executing mechanical commissioning tests safely and to schedule.
- Completing commissioning records, test documentation and raw data capture.
- Supporting commissioning documentation and LTQR package compilation.
- Working in line with approved procedures, standards and SSoWs.
- Identifying and reporting technical or safety issues promptly.
- Supporting safe site operations and contributing to ESH initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical commissioning experience within complex industrial environments.
- Level 3 qualification in an engineering or construction discipline.
- IOSH Working Safely / Managing Safely or CCNSG Safety Passport.
- CSCS affiliated card.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
- Highly desirable: Nuclear industry experience.
- Previous nuclear site commissioning experience.
- Existing SC Clearance.
