The company is an established and leading manufacturer of special purpose vehicles and machinery. Pertemps is working on their behalf to recruit a mechanical fitter for their operations in Kidderminster. Salary is negotiable on experience. The role covers Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the building and fitting of various machinery.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and plans to build machinery to correct specifications.
- Work in a timely manner to produce finished products within process deadlines.
- Raise issues during the build process and record any changes.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Carry out and complete other duties as required in line with the needs of the business.
Skills and experience required
- Experience of mechanical fitting and assembly.
- Able to read engineering drawings effectively.
- Experience of using power and hand tools.
- Calm and methodical approach.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
