Location: Rochdale

Working Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm / Friday: 7:30am - 12:00pm

Hourly Rate: Competitive. £18.50 - £19.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Introduction: ES Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join an established business based in Rochdale. The successful candidate will work on the assembly of high-quality equipment across the Food & Confectionery, Nuclear, and Pharmaceutical sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out engineering assembly activities on a wide range of specialist equipment
  • Follow engineering drawings, tolerances, and assembly procedures accurately
  • Assemble intricate and precision-built components to designated standards
  • Complete and follow all documentation and work instructions in line with company procedures
  • Perform pressure testing procedures on a range of equipment
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed, including correct use of PPE
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
  • Support additional duties as requested by management
  • Work on-site in the UK or overseas where required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 3 qualification or City & Guilds in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar engineering or mechanical assembly role
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Flexible approach to travel and site-based work
