Mechanical Fitter / Conveyor Fitter
Middlesbrough (TS1 Area) – Site Based
£30 per hour (Outside IR35)
8 Week Contract – Starting Early June

Urgent requirement for experienced Mechanical Installers/Conveyor Fitters to support a major automation installation project at a brand-new distribution site. You will be working on-site installing conveyor and automation systems as part of a large mechanical installation team. This hands-on role involves mechanical assembly, installation, and maintenance of warehouse distribution equipment, with opportunities for follow-on projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install conveyor systems including roller conveyors and metro belting systems.
  • Mechanical assembly and alignment of automation equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete installation work safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with system set-up, adjustments, and mechanical modifications on-site.
  • Work closely with other mechanical fitters and team leaders to meet project deadlines.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly or conveyor installation.
  • Previous experience working on warehouse automation or distribution systems.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • CSCS Card (essential).
  • Hands-on installation experience within automation environments.
