A welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a motivated Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a maths graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant looking to gain further school-based experience while supporting pupils through targeted maths intervention sessions.
The Role
In this Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will support pupils across KS2 through a combination of classroom support and targeted maths interventions. You will work closely with class teachers to help raise attainment and build pupils' confidence in mathematics. You will deliver small group and 1:1 intervention sessions for pupils working below expected levels, as well as those capable of achieving greater depth. Teachers will provide guidance, planning, and resources, while you support pupils in developing core maths skills, problem-solving abilities, and exam confidence where appropriate. The role will also include supporting teaching and learning within the classroom, assisting pupils during lessons, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
