Independent Opticians in Market Harborough are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join their friendly, professional team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected independent practice with a loyal patient base and a genuine focus on quality eye care and personalised dispensing.

The practice offers a calm, unrushed environment where patient experience always comes first. The role would suit an Optical Assistant with at least 3 years recent optical experience who enjoys dispensing, building relationships with patients, and working as part of a close-knit team.

Optical Assistant Role:
  • Fully independent Opticians with a strong focus on personalised care
  • Supporting patients throughout the full dispensing journey
  • Helping patients choose frames and lenses suited to their needs
  • Adjustments, fittings, repairs, and collections
  • Providing knowledgeable advice on eyewear and lens options
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the practice
  • Single testing room practice with a calm, unrushed feel
  • Loyal, experienced team who genuinely support each other
  • Practice open Monday to Friday only
  • Working hours 9am to 5.30pm
  • Flexible working pattern available (3, 4 or 5 days per week)
Salary and Package:
  • £25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
  • No weekends
